1.35 carat, H color VS1 (GIA certificate)
  • Total Price - around $8500
  • Cut, polish and symmetry excellent
  • Depth 62.40%
  • Table Percent 56.00%
  • Crown Angle 36
  • Pavilion Angle 40.8
  • Measurements  7.05 - 7.09 x 4.41 mm
  • Fluorescence - none

Deciding if this is a good purchase! Appreciate any help!

Based on a search of similar stones on the Diamond Finder (http://www.diamondreview.com/diamonds/?sortOrder=carat&sortDesc=0&fShape=Rnd&fCaratLo=1.30&fCaratHi=1.36&fColorLo=H&fColorHi=H&fClarityLo=VS1&fClarityHi=VS1&fCutLo=exc&fCutHi=exc&fDepthLo=61.1&fDepthHi=62.4&fTableLo=53.2&fTableHi=57.1&fSymLo=ideal&fSymHi=exc&fPolLo=ideal&fPolHi=exc&fCulLo=&fCulHi=vlarge&fFlrLo=none&fFlrHi=none&fPriceLo=0&fPriceHi=1000000&fLabGIA=1&adv=1), the price you have is on the lower to middle of the range.  Personally I am not a big fan of steep crown angles (36°), but that does not make this a bad stone.  All other parameters remaining about the same, a stone with a slightly lesser angle - closer to 34° or 35° might give you a brighter stone.  I would venture that such a stone may cost a little more.
