The price is a little high for strong blue flouresence. You can get a little bigger diamond same grade GIA Ex Ex Ex for just a little more with no fluorescence.

Something you might want to think about just in case you ever decide to try to sell the stone at a later date. The strong blue may be a hard sell.

I have seen it. Its pretty. I've looked at it for about 15 min under a loupe. Thought I saw something but it could have been dust cause I couldn't find it again. The GIA cut grade is excellent.

I've read the GIA report on fluorescence and I thought it is actually a good thing and that it makes people see the stone as "more colorless"

Also I can get it for $5180 now. Does that make it a better deal?

Now here's a question whose answer will raise no debate. $5180, is a better deal than $5500....heheheh

In terms of fluorescence, given that you have seen the Diamond, I disagree with Jan. A small percentage of strong blue stones may appear dull, but you would've easily noticed this.

Fluorescence is not a bad thing in and of itself.

If this Diamond is being sold to you by a brick and mortar store, the price seems very reasonable to me.

The fact that you've seen it, and love it, cement the deal in my mind.
