1.00ct Radiant H SI1 - Worth $4800?

Recommended Posts

Did you like it? Lack of visible inclusions is a pretty good place to start although your apparent lack of enthusiasm for the stone, the deal or the dealer leads me to suggest you shouldn't buy it, at least not yet. Lack of inclusions isn't generally what makes one stone more beautiful than another. Correctly graded SI1's are usually difficult to find much in with a loupe, especially if you haven't practiced so this is pretty much what's expected. Who called it H-SI1? Have you seen other stones to compare it to? Do you love it? That's a premium price and you are entitled to a premium stone and first class dealer support. If you're not getting it, keep on shopping.

Read some of the tutorials here and on the major dealers' websites about what makes one diamond more valuable than another. It's not rocket science, but it's more complicated than I think you're expecting.
