Short answer ('cause I am heading home in just a minute):

H is the color of the diamond, this is in the near colorless range. Different grading labs have different standards, but a GIA or AGS graded H color diamond generally faces beautifully white, in my opinion.

VS is the clarity, though it should be classified more specifically as VS1 or VS2. VS1 being the better of the two, both however should be eye-clean meaning you cannot see the inclusion with the naked eye.

You may want read the tutorial which can be accessed at the top of the page.
