If you have a single 33 ct gem-quality diamond - even if irradiated - I would definitely advise you to find a competent appraiser.

If the "33 ct" actually is a typo for 0.33 ct (33 points), then the cost of the appraisal is going to be about as much as the diamond's retail price.

Appraisals are typically $100 - $200 depending on who you use.  It probably will be worth doing although it depends a bit on your situation and your objectives. Where are you and I'll try to get you a referral to someone nearby? As Davide points out, 33 carats is quite large. Are you sure about this? Where did you get this data, especially the color description and the reference to treatment?
