Bought from oldtreasures333

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any experience with oldtreasures333. Bought a ring on auction. Supposedly 14k white gold and natural sapphire. There are no markings and it seems very cheap.  The sapphire appears to be covered in scratches and is barely translucent.

None of which is a certain indication of the description being incorrect. If you are unhappy with the item return it - the seller (at least on eBay) seems to offer 30 days unconditional returns, so regardless of whether the item has been described incorrectly or only - ahem - enthusiastically marketed, use that policy to your advantage.

Not all sapphires are transparent.  I'm with Davide, if you're unhappy, send it back forthwith.  If you're concerned that the description may be incorrect and your decision will depend on that, get it appraised by an independent appraiser (in this sense meaning someone who isn't buying or selling or otherwise involved in the transaction).  Do be quick about it. Often sellers have a time limit on your ability to return things and it isn't all that long.
