hi guys

Just wanted to ask what you thoughts were on the following K colour stone for a white halo setting? The halo setting will have plain shanks and just the small diamonds around the stone. Is it too 'yellow' or will i  be able to get away with it?

This stone appears fairly dark in the video.  If the sidestones in the setting match this diamond in color, you may be able to get away with it not looking too dark but if, like most settings, the stones are stock FGHI color, then the halo will be whiter than the center and make the center appear even darker than it is.

My opinion.

What Laurent said, plus one observation: the diamond seems to be more brown than yellow tinted in the video. Depending on the metal you use for the setting, the brown may come out more (with rose gold) or form further contrast with yellow gold. It isn't necessarily unpleasant, but it may end up a very different look than a traditional "white diamond" engagement ring.
