Waiting For My First Purchase

Recommended Posts

It's my wife's birthday on 30th April. Someone told me that diamond is the birthstone of April. Also she is very much crazy it. She is lean and tall and a fashion friendly lady too, can anyone suggest me which type diamond will suit her? Enquired about the prices in a wholesale diamond jewelry store, Vancouver, and they are quite affordable too. Please give me some suggestions regarding the diamonds.

Welcome, and Happy Birthday to your lady!

The one she likes most. Honestly.

If you want to give her a surprise, first of all I'd make sure that whoever you are buying from accepts returns against 100% refund of your cash (except possibly credit card and shipping fees - not ill-defined "restocking" charges) for a reasonable period of at least a week if local, and a month if remote. Then I'd buy a well cut round (which is easier to buy under time pressure: there is more information available and they are more standardised), and see what your wife says.

Beware of anyone selling one stone at a time to consumers and calling him/herself "wholesaler". They are not wholesalers, because one at a time to a consumer is the definition of retail, and even if they act as wholesalers in some circumstances you can be 100% sure that you are not getting wholesale conditions. On the other hand, if they are willing to misrepresent themselves as "wholesalers", what else are they willing to misrepresent?

One way to test their claim of being 'wholesalers' is to tell them you want 30 day payment terms, and then take 90 days to pay them...but only after they've called you 4 or 5 times to chase up payment  ...this is why I got out of wholesale...

Nothing says "You better pay me back on time", than some business associates carrying lead pipes with and an in depth knowledge of human anatomy.  :)

Happy Belated birthday to your wife. Yes diamonds are the birthstone of April. (I know cause my birthday is also in April :-) )  We would love to see what you got for her and her reaction. Did she love the piece? What did decide on?

Hey. Thanks for all your replies and sorry for late reply. I finally found the best ring for her. Although it turned out to be a bit more costly than I expected, it's really pretty and she loved it. Here's a pic of it. What do you guys think of it? Jolie.jpg
