  1. Thank you so much for the detailed reply and consideration~Especially alerting me to the potential risk. Dont worry, just come back with my wife from our anniversary trip in Maldives and had only a few touches with the sand. Being interested in learning more about taking care diamond and Jewel pieces, thus created this thread. You know it's interesting that I am more sensitive than my wife on this topic~
  2. Is it because polishing actually makes the metal thinner? I thought it would be a very tiny amount. Pls correct me if I am wrong, thanks~ And how about platinum, I learnt that when it is scratch and polished, nearly no metal is polished away in fact?
  3. Clear! Thanks! Diamond's general resistance to wear is clearly one of its attracting quality to many~
  4. Thanks for clearing my concern for the stone~And yes the metal will definitely not be happy, but the good side is we can largely convert it to its original luster by polishing.
  5. Thanks so much for your replies~ Let me try to raise an example in real life...How about sand on the beach, will they scratch diamond?
  6. Hi all, first post on this forum. As the title of this thread, is there anything corrosive to diamonds or can chemically affect diamonds? And can anything scratch diamonds except another diamond? Hope there'll be some feedback~
