Has Anyone Has Any Experience With Brilliance.com Of Florida?

"L with faint brown" is L, in the sense that I know of no listing engine (owned or syndicated) that allows you to filter for brown or grey hue. On the impact on price, I agree with Bryan: yes, there will be a (usually small) discount for brown, but the price of that particular stone is not driven by that. Images: I have nothing side-by-side (and I haven't got a faint brown in stock at the moment, so I can't take a shot right now), but here are some photos of K-L stones taken by the same photographer and camera in the same room/environment. http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/loose-diamond-222ct-l-vvs2-old-european-cut-gia-lovely-stone-r5949 http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/loose-diamond-214ct-l-vs2-round-brilliant-diamond-gia-triple-ex-r4952 http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/crafted-by-infinity-round-brilliant-diamond-170ct-kvvs1-ideal-cut-agsl-r4437 http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/loose-diamond-154ct-l-vvs1-cushion-cut-diamond-gia-r6316 Thanks for your input. So I will ask you the same question too, for a diamond rated just L( and not with faint brown hue) how much do you think the price difference will be against this one considering all the other specs remain same? It's a good question. Oddly, traces of brown in a stone may not be as obvious as yellow from face up view. From the side however, I think it is more obvious. For this reason it is important to consider how the diamond will be set. From a pricing standpoint there is a general biaz against brown in the market, so I think all other things being equal the fact that this stone has brown hue it would be priced lower than the same color grade in yellow. How much lower for that difference, hard to say. This particular stone has alot of factors pushing the price down. Thanks guys. Also thanks a lot for providing further links. Just out of curiosity what else is keeping the price down? Also if you can send me an email I can send you a video. I am not able to upload any video here.

With yellow, brown and grey hues GIA will mention the hue (none mentioned = yellow) but leave the diamond on the D-Z scale from K (faint x) on. Faint brown can (in my opinion) be quite attractive and if properly set look almost pink, but it definitely will contrast with properly graded I-J melée. Here are photos of some faint brown; bear in mind that colour (for D-Z grades) is assessed through the side, but the shape of the diamond will have a significant effect on how much of the colour is visible face-up. Rounds will tend to show the least, and radiants the most. http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/diamond-halo-ring-220ct-k-faint-brown-vs1-oval-shape-gia-split-shank-halo-r5198 http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/faint-brown-diamond-ring-205ctw-k-faint-brown-round-brilliant-three-stone-diamond-ring-r4870 http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/loose-diamond-60ct-pear-shape-k-faint-brown-si1-gia-subtle-color-laser-inscribed-r3924 http://www.diamondsbylauren.com/index.php/jewelry/soldthree-stone-diamond-ring-200-light-brown-radiant-diamond-vvs2-gia-emerald-sides Thanks a lot for all the links! It is helpful but it probably makes me more nervous because on the website it just said L and I thought it's L not L with faint brown. Will you happen to have two pictures of diamonds one just L and one L with faint brown? Also, price wise, how much more do you think a L with same spec would have cost?

Hi George, I completely missed the faint brown part for L color. i thought L color has Faint Yellow to it, or at least that was told. Now I noticed it is faint brown. I checked online faint brown vs faint yellow. The brown looks quite dark. I didn't think it will be this dark. I am nervous now, bcoz the side diamonds in the setting are in the range of I-J and they said it will match. Does anyone has any experience with a similar kind of diamond. I will appreciate some pictures if anyone has any.

Thanks Barry and others! Based on answers here and after consulting many other online resources, I think my peace of mind is with buying a GIA diamond. This is the diamond:- http://www.brilliance.com/diamonds/2.50-carat-round-l-color-vs1-clarity-excellent-cut-gia-certified-loose-diamond-D13477135 What do you guys think? 8. Hello everyone and thanks for an awesome forum to discuss! So far I have zeroed in to this diamond, but now I am starting to have my doubts again considering the price. I understand EGL will is less strict than GIA but apart from that I will like to have your opinion about what do you think about the diamond? Am I getting my money's worth? Should I stick to GIA? http://www.brilliance.com/diamonds/2.54-carat-round-i-color-si1-clarity-ideal-cut-egl-certified-loose-diamond-D13199254 I will appreciate any answers/suggestions or questions to ask to the vendor? Also, has anyone any experience good or bad with Brilliance.com based out of Florida(Bayton Beach) ? Thanks a lot for your time guys, Arnab
