  1. Wow. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing. :-) I love color. The multicolor items are amazing. Mother of Pearl Jewelry is lovely with all the swirls and tones of color.
  2. No I haven't. What is that? It sounds pretty. (Sorry manish)
  3. Let us know what you think. I am always afraid to order jewelry sight unseen. It is good that these great people are here to offer suggestions and support. The multicolor (Aset image?) would look so intriguing if it were a real color. I love "tye-dye" type designs and colors.
  4. I agree that movies are going down hill. They can't seem to come up with anything new. Remakes and sequels seem to be the fall back for movies. As for TV there are a few decent shows but it seems all the good shows get cancelled or ended. I hate getting involved or vested in a show because inevitably it seems to end shortly thereafter. I don't know anything about Amazon but Netflix is just OK. I think they are all pretty much the same. Netflix has some pretty big stars such as Ashton Kutcher and Adam Sandler in their pockets. Several shows starring them and others.
  5. We just celebrated our 6 year anniversary. I was trying to wait till our 10 year for a new band or an upgrade of some sort. Now that some of the stones have come out I might make it sooner for a new ring. :-)
  6. Congrats. I am glad you were able to sell your ring. Keep that site in mind if you have any other stuff to sell. They are a great company. :-)
  7. Hi Jane, Have you had any luck finding a place to sell your ring? I know of this site called I Want What It's Worth. They will clean and repair your jewelry and then sell it for you to get you what it's worth. Here is the link. http://iwantwhatitsworth.com/ I hope this helps. :-)
  8. Hi Just Curious, Not sure if you found a place to sell your ring yet or not but thought this might be a good place to check. The site is called I Want What It's Worth. They clean the ring, do any repairs and then get the best price for you by selling it directly to stores. Here is the link to the ite http://iwantwhatitsworth.com/ Hope this helps.
  9. Well it all depends. I have been married twice and each time I was with the first guy for a year before we got engaged. We were married months later. And my current husband and I got engaged after 9 months and married 4 months later. It just depends on you and your SO. Try talking to him about things. Let him know where your head is at. He might think it is too soon or worried you might think it is too soon.
  10. Yea I have lost stones before. I am rough on my rings. My last couple of jobs had me lifting inventory and squeezing my hands in small places so my rings got knocked around a lot. Now with my current ob I can be more gentle on my rings. Might be time for an upgrade in rings :-)
  11. Were they able to fix your ring? I too am a stickler for the look and feel. I have my engagement ring that has a sharp prong on it that I need to get fixed. I think over the years I snagged it on something and it has become just a bit pulled out. I have to find a jeweler close to me as the place my husband bought it is in another state. It is an easy fix so I plan to take it to the local jeweler. He has fixed a few other things for my in-laws.
  12. If you are looking to sell your diamond if you do some research you can find a company that can get you what its worth. They clean your jewelry up, make repairs and get you the highest value for it. You can also try checking out some various store locations and seeing what they offer. I will try and find the site if you would like and let you know. You can check it out and see if it something you might be interested in.
  13. Ahhh Yes. I completely understand the work, home and school chores for me. Also I have two little girls to contend with :-) You will find the right ring in time. My husband also has chubby fingers and his weight fluctuates. I wish you lots of luck. I don't know anything about custom designed rings. Keep us posted. Have you talked to your lady about her thoughts on the ring. Don't take this the wrong way. I gave my input on my husbands ring but since he was the one wearing it I let him make the finally decision. I wanted him to be comfortable and want to wear the ring. Best of luck. :-) Please call me Cindy Madam makes me feel my age :-)
  14. Hello JRRTolkienIdeal I wanted to check in and see if you had made any decisions yet? You had some really good advice and lots to consider. I am sure we would all love to see what you chose. The ring you had posted looks similar to my husbands ring but as I mentioned his was Titanium. It has 7 little diamonds in it.
  15. I don't know anything about how to tell which stone is the best but the bands are beautiful. Personally I would rather have the ring with the smaller band. It looks more elegant and dainty and well classic to me. I think the stone is something you would have to look at with a jeweler to gain perspective on which is the best bang for your buck. Good luck and we would love to see what you chose. :-)
  16. I think I saw that ring LaurentGeorge, or something similar when I did a google search a while back for a different post. It is a gorgeous ring.
  17. Wow. It is beautiful. Your wife is one lucky lady. :-)
  18. Happy Belated birthday to your wife. Yes diamonds are the birthstone of April. (I know cause my birthday is also in April :-) ) We would love to see what you got for her and her reaction. Did she love the piece? What did decide on?
  19. Congratulations on making the step to propose. That is wonderful. I am not sure about the pink trillion but from what I read above sounds like it might be tough to find. There are many other gems that would probably be easier and just as beautiful for your beloveds ring. I agree that your best bet would be to talk to a reputable diamond dealer and see what they can recommend. Good luck and congrats. We would love to see pictures of whichever ring you chose.
  20. After having read many of the comments I too think your best bet would be to take it to a reputable jeweler or diamond dealer and have them look at it.Online people wont be able to give you an accuate responce and sending it off could be costly and you may still never get a definitive answer. Good luck.
  21. When it comes to rings and any jewelry I like the finer but simpler things. It all comes down, or at least in my opinion, as to which ring you think your sweetheart would like. It is a matter of choice. To be honest I don't know anything about the GIA or other classifications I only know what looks nice and can withstand the roughness of everyday living. I have children so my hands tend to get banged up a bit which can be tough on my rings but they are still going strong. When looking at rings try and think of the taste for who will be wearing the ring. I like smaller, dainty, delicate rings. Something that looks nice but isn't too big...But that is just my personal preference. Your fiance may prefer a larger stone with more detail. Whatever the ring is that you choose...Your fiance will love it because it came from you. It shows that you took the time to find just the right ring. Good luck. I can't wait to see what ring you chose.
  22. My husband has a Titanium ring. He loves it. Not sure how it works for sizing but it is durable and lightweight. It doesn't bend or scratch. Just a thought for something to check into. My husband and I have been married for 6 years and he still loves his ring.
  23. I like the website idea. He loves to read but would rather do it online. Maybe a kindle would be a good gift..maybe a better Christmas gift though. He likes walking in the woods and fire pits...Camping. It might actually be nice enough for that. Thanks for the great ideas. :-)
  24. I can see that has yellowish tones but can't get a good idea of anything from this picture. Do you have any other pictures please?
  25. My husband and I will be celebrating our 5 year wedding anniversary in April. I know it's a few months away but with the holidays and two birthdays coming up I want to have an idea of what I need to save. So I am looking for suggestions. I don't have a price set yet but I am sure it wont be more than $300 provided I can save enough by April. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks :-)
