  2. Hello. I'm a first time diamond buyer. I'm in the process of buying 2 pairs of Diamond stud earring. One is for my mom and another is for my sister. My budget is 400 to 600 $ each. I'm based in the US. I read through the tutorial, which was very helpful for a novice btw, and have come up with some broad guidelines for myself. These are below. These are my broad assumptions. Cut for round brilliant cut/princess cut - Very Good or Good Color - always > K - i.e D,E,F,G,H,I,J - Nothing Else, Most Probably end up with F,G,H,I,J Clarity - always > I1 - i.e FL, IF, VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, Most Probably end up with VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2 Carat - 0 - 0.75 I'm focusing on yellow gold since these are small diamonds and as i understand yellow backing 'pops' them better. Based on these guidelines i have narrowed down some of the selection available online to the ones that i'm interested in. These are the links to the shortlisted. http://www.bluenile.com/diamond-earrings-gold_2302?track=po http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond-studs/earrings/item_426-7714.asp http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond-studs/preset/earrings/item_76-7885.asp http://www.jamesallen.com/diamond-studs/preset/earrings/item_76-7741.asp Could you please advise on the option with the best value? I'm also open to looking at other options. I'm a little short of time i need to wrap this up in 2 weeks time. Never knew buying diamonds was such a sophisticated affair . Thanks in advance firstdiamond
