Normal To Have Shadows In Diamons?

Is it normal to have shadow's appear in diamonds at certain angles? My diamond is: 1.01 cushion G color SI1 clarity When I look dead on to the ring it appears bright white and perfect, but when I turn my ring on any angle, i see a shadow, it goes away with movement etc... Is this normal?
