I am looking to purchase a diamond band, 18k gold round and baguette, channel-bar setting 1/2 ctw. What diamond qualities are the best for this type of setting? For example, if I have to sacrifice any of the 4 "Cs" which one should it be? I was looking for a diamond of VS1-SI1 quality, color G-I. I want a quality ring with good diamonds, not so expensive, but sufficiently "sparkly."
