I'm currently looking at a 1.06 round diamond that is rated G and a vs2 for 4650$. Is that a good deal? My question is that the jeweler said that external flaws are not included in the rating. It is also rated by E.G.L. Does that make a difference.Michael

The price really depends on what other charcteristic that stone has, ie:depth ,table,girdle, culet,flour etc...
I think that you should go on line and compare diamonds and see how they relate with the same measur.depth ,table,flourecense,etc..
and then make your decision.
