I'm trying to find out why some diamonds in my eternity and engagement rings glow under UV lighting while others don't.

Are they all genuine?

That would be because some of them are displaying fluorescence.

About 60% of diamonds fluoresce naturally and to some degree.

I've wondered about the "genuineness" about flourescence in the diamonds myself. My wife has some diamonds that glow under black lights, but after discussing with several retailers and professionals, its normal for diamonds to glow. Diamonds that glow doesn't necessarily mean its bad, sometimes it may even add value to the diamond.
