I have a loose diamond with papers that I want to upgrade to a larger diamond. How do I know I am receiving adequate value for the loose diamond. I bought it 29 yrs ago for $400.00 and one place only would offer me $400.00 for it. Surely, the value has gone up in 29 yrs?

what kind of papers do you have? Are the papers from a well known gemological laboratory like ,g.i.a , e.g.l?

What size is it?

all these factors make the price evaluation.for your diamond!
but most of all it has to be certified ,by a well known lab.
