I read somewhere that faint fluorescence can be good for an I color stone as the blue counteracts the little yellow in the I color. Can somebody please comment on that.
Thanks.

Hi there,
I asked our gemologists to be sure, but yes, a light flourescence can effectively bump the 'percieved' color up a grade or two.
It may help to remember that for a long time, flourescent stones (so called blue-whites) were the top of the heap for diamonds.
We may have an article going into more details about flourescence on our site in the future.
Anyway, hope the info helps!

Congratulations to the questioner on spelling the word right! It would be nice if the so-called diamond experts would spell "fluorescence" correctly. I keep thinking the stones are covered in "flour".
