for typical 2 carat princess vs round (8.2m diameter), which shape looks bigge face up?
i read that large princess cut stone is cheaper than round bc round is more popular so more expensive. if princess cut looks bigger than round for same carat wt and cheaper, why is it that round is still more popular? is it bc people are more familiar with round?

The rounds are more popular because they get the most light return and best sparkle.
The princess cut diamonds run less because the cutter retains more weight from the rough.
Generally a 2 ct round, if well cut, will look larger than a 2.00 ct. princess cut diamond because they are generally cut deeper.
