I am in the process of trying to buy a Princess Cut Diamond. It is 1.44 carats, rectangular modified brilliant (6.71x6.15x4.30mm). The depth is 69.9%, table 75%, Excellent polish and good symmetry. D color grade, VS2 clarity, no Flourescence. The only problem is the girdle is Extremely Thin to slightly thick. I am afraid that the diamond could chip. The person selling it to me said that the only way it would chip is if another diamond was pounding it. Is this true. I know that if it is not chippedin the setting process then there is a good chance it will not chip correct? Anyway I would be getting the diamond plus a platinum setting with larger baugettes for $8,753. I like the diamond except for the girdle. Is it worth it or am I just being overly cautious?

Not true. It can chip in the setting process as well as wearing it and it doesn't have to be chipped by another diamond.
It may or may not be a problem, but it depends on how large of an area the extremely thin is and where it is located.
We have a Brilliant Fire tm princess cut diamond that is very well cut. If you send me an e-mail, I can send you the information on it.

I keep trying to e-mail you but it says your e-mail address has fatal errors. Please give me another one where I can talk to you and then you can send me what you have.

What did you think of the price of the diamond though? What other things about it stand out as not being good? I do want to look at what you have but also want to see what I am getting here. That is why I wrote.
