I bought a diamond recently that was O/P in colour. The difference in price on this site for a similar diamond with G colour was $6000. I have looked at a few diamonds and cannot tell the difference between an O and a G. Without a lupe is it really possible to notice this. At what point does the colour really become an obvious flaw to the untrained eye?
eye of the beholder

It really depends on how sensitive your eyes are to color. Some clients of ours notice color difference between D-F color and others not until G-or lower.
Eye sight is totally individual and some people are even color blind .
