Opinions Needed: Potential Estate Diamond Ring Purchase

I found this ring at an antique shop near where I live. I snapped a quick picture of it, hoping someone could give me an idea, based on design, of roughly how old it is. The ring itself is labeled as 18K white gold, and the nine stones are allegedly all diamonds.

The style was popular in the 1950's, as was 18k white. The box is probably older than that.
