I recently went ring shopping with my cousin boyfriend to help him pick out an engagement ring. We first browsed around retail stores and found a particular style we liked and got the price range for that specific ring style. The prices varied but most of the stores were offering around $14k-$21k. We decided to check out online jewelry sites to see how much different the prices were compared to retail stores. It was apparent that online jewelry sites were a lot less cheaper with free shipping, but finding a trusted company online was important to us because spending that much money anywhere especially online where you cannot see the item in front of you was something that kind of drew us away from purchasing online. But we decided to call a few companies anyway. First we tried bluenile.com asked them about the specific ring we wanted with little customization's. They told us they could not do the customization's we asked for so we tried jamesallen.com, same thing.. they can not do the specific customization's. Finally.. we tried www.thediamondsfactory.com. They do any customization work. The customer representative who helped us on the phone was amazing, she took down the specific details we wanted on the ring and the diamond specs which the customer rep helped us with deciding which is best and got back to us with the final quote. The price they gave us was $10k less than retail stores which also came with free shipping.

Of course, we took the deal and waited 2-3 weeks for the ring to arrive. When it did, we were more than ecstatic. The ring was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for more.

I HIGHLY recommend this company. The customer service was amazing and so helpful and the quality of the ring my cousins boyfriend purchased was excellent!

Great to hear. If you (or your cousin) manage to post a couple of pictures, we'd love to see them!

Um. You'll pardon me if I'm highly sceptical of your claims.

You appear out of nowhere with a story that hangs together by the skin of its teeth but has no real specifics, and when asked to substantiate you produce a stock photo and are unable to describe the customisation you wanted in a way that makes sense? With the ring having already been manufactured and delivered as per your first post?

At this point, I'm more inclined to consider you are a shill. Not that I am the judge of this, but I'm concerned about other users getting honest advice and fair reviews.

I agree somewhat. I'm always a little skeptical of first posters with testimonials, as opposed to people who come for some kind of advice before talking sunshine and roses about a company. Then again, as a moderator, more often than not, I tend to give the benefit of doubt until given a bit more reason to say otherwise--i know *some* people do get that excited and wanna sing praises all over...just a little more hesitant when it's not someone who's been around here first (like first post is the day the acct is created...not that you couldn't have lurked as a guest...)

Anyway...your recommendation would carry a LOT more weight if you'll post a picture of what you wound up with--even if it's not a sharp picture. and describe better what you received. It will also be more helpful for anyone considering using this company.

Hi I am new here and found this site because of google pointing me here in my search for information about thediamondsfactory.com. Even with the questionable review here I did more research on the company and found no issues with BBB and some other positive reviews.

So I started working with them on designing a custom ring similar to a design we saw at Charleston Alexander in Bethesda. My experience through the design phase was excellent, I've dealt with a couple different folks via phone and email. After 3 design revisions we had exactly what we wanted, the ring is going into production after our approval and was delivered in 2 weeks. We couldn't be happier, my wife loves the ring and I am very pleased with price and quality. I included a picture of a design revision and the ring. Next on the list is an independent local apprasial.
