Hi
I am looking to purchase a diamond engagement ring, and this is my first time ( hopefully the last time ) looking into these things.
Can anyone suggest some jewelers to visit in Vancouver BC? Downtown, Vancouver, Richmond ish area
i was looking at diamonddeals.ca, they have a local shop Downtown as well, has anyone deal with them before?
Their price seem cheaper compare to others
thanks,

I cannot help with recommendation - I can however offer a couple of comments on the site you are looking at:
1. They use their own cut grades (e.g. they call GIA-graded stones "Ideal cut" or "Premium", which are terms GIA does not use). You should ask them exactly how they determine the cut grade, and decide whether to trust that system or not.
2. Similarly, they grade non-rounds for cut. Which again GIA does not do. If you are shopping for a round brilliant, not an issue. If you are looking for another shape, make double sure that you have comparisons between different "cut grades" since you don't have an independent cut grade to help.
(3. I tested only a small sample of stones, but I could not find a single report scan uploaded. It means little, but I'd want to make sure that the stone they sell me is graded by GIA and corresponds to the report...)
Good luck!

What he said, AND I would do a little homework and research their reputation online. Google their name and see what comes up--good, bad or otherwise. I just say this because I'm not familiar with them personally or by reputation (not like Blue Nile or other names that have been around a long time and are well known--that not said as a recommendation or not), and usually if people are pleased with a company, they might mention it, but if they're not, they DEFINITELY will. Look for both.

Alvina,
Are we really back to this now? If you have nothing to contribute to a thread--don't contribute. Keeping threads alive that provide no new information just clutters things up for folks that are looking for responses to their posts and the helpers who are looking for more ways to help. Please refrain from the urge to post on EVERYTHING just for the sake of posting. As you were informed before, this is not a forum to use "however you like" and there is an unwritten code of conduct that you should attempt to adhere to, for the benefit of everyone who comes here for advice and those that choose to stick around and be part of the community.
Thanks,
Laurie

You'll keep it in mind? Really? Because it looks like you're up to it again. Seriously...one more pointless post to a dead thread and your posting privileges will be restricted. It is bogging down people being able to easily find active threads. Please STOP.

Use the "Diamond Finder" link at the top of the page. Prices for about half a million diamonds...
