Hey all, newest member here!! Just thought I would sign up and give my experience.

"theloosediamond.com" is the WORST online jewelry retailer in the world!!!! I purchased a ring and returned it due to smaller size and extremely poor quality than what was purchased. Then I got hit with a 20% restocking fee instead of the 5% restocking which was put on the invoice, but wasn't ever mentioned during the sale. Awful company. Better Business Bureau has them rated a F for a reason. Look it up for yourselves. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!

The above is my main review I am trying to post in as many place as possible. It is now my mission to hurt there business the only way I know how. The whole story is we ordered a 3-stone anniversary ring. 1ct center, 0.5 sides for 2.0 total cts. We received 0.4 ct sides and 1 ct center of poor quality. They were going to fix it and upgrade the sides to 0.55 ct, which they did, but they were of poorer quality than the previous 0.4 ct sides. We called and complained about that. Was told that was the best they can do, so we decided to send it back and get a refund (Website says 30-day money back guarantee). Keep in mind our invoice said 5% restocking fee for credit card purchases, which this was. Once the money was finally refunded, it ended up being a 20% restocking fee and we have yet to hear an explanation because the company is ignoring our phone calls and emails. Anyways, that is my story and I hope I can sway at lease one customer to go elsewhere. And I am pretty sure they are associated with World Jewels - worldjewels.com so I wouldn't go there either.

Anybody else have an experience with theloosediamond.com online retailer????? Please share.

You're more than welcome to voice your review on your experience, but you've posted this same review twice, so just as an FYI, i'm deleting the other thread so there's not redundancy and leaving this one since you've got the full name of the website . Sorry you had a bad online experience. I'll just say that that is a very good reason to vet out e-tailers (AND brick-and-mortar retailers) BEFORE purchasing.

If the restocking fee was different from what was listed on the invoice and/or the original advertisement, protest the charge with your credit card company. They're your friend (mostly), and this sort of thing is one of the big reasons to do deals with strangers using a credit card, even if there's a 'cash' discount.

By the way, I've never heard of either store you're slamming but "I am pretty sure they are associated with..." is a pretty lame accusation, especially if it turns out to be a completly unrelated outfit that just has a similar name or address. I understand your problem with the first guys and why you're ticked but what makes you think this other place is connected?

Because it was shipped to me using that name on the box. Maybe theloosediamond.com had some World Jewel boxes lying around and decided to use them.

Thanks for clarifying. Sorry if sometimes it sounds like people suspend belief, but there is a more than reasonable number of people posting with clearly malicious intent.

I also have a bad experience with the Loose Diamond. I should have heeded the one bad review I read prior to buying from them, but I thought, hey, most of these are great! Little did I know that what happened to the girl in the review is also what would happen to me. I ordered a 2.33 carat tdw wedding set with 3 large stones amongst multiple smaller ones on the main ring. I examined the ring in the sunlight and didn't have to look too hard to notice that 2 of the 3 large stones were visibly cracked across the centers of the diamond. Also, both rings were slightly bent out of shape. It almost seemed like they sent me someone else's returned item. I am so pissed because I'm not wealthy at all. I've waited patiently for 10 years to finally be able to buy a wedding ring and I end up getting a complete dud for my tenth anniversary.. I can't believe that the Loose Diamond would even send out a product like that! Thanks a lot for making my 10th Anniversary really special THE LOOSE DIAMOND!!! Oh, and to make things even more fantastic, they are not responding to my inquiry. So for anyone out there who can't believe the awesome deals on their website, it's priced that way for a reason. They will reel you in, get your money and screw you over. Just saying, it's a horrible way to do business. Not a fan at all, just in case there was any misunderstanding about that.
