I read this post with interest before we got Bells to make our engagement ring. We're in Perth Australia, so it seemed even riskier for us to send all that money and purchase a custom made ring sight unseen. But their service was so good, we decided to go ahead.
Our ring is lovely, absolutely stunning, 1.2ct SI1 cognac bezel set centre diamond accented by 1.3ct VS2 colour F princess cuts diamonds in a channel setting. Two tone 14ct gold. I don't know how they can do it so cheap, and I don't really care, all I know is that when we took it to get valued by our local jeweller to make sure all the stones where what Bells quoted. They were. Our jeweller was very impressed by the ring and the quality and the local valuation came back as nearly 4 times what we paid.
Our ring is so much more beautiful than I ever imagined I would wear.
I'd recommend them to anyone.

As promised here are some photos. They were sent to me by the jeweler, but I now have the ring safely in my possession, and it looks great to me!

Awwww...it's very pretty! And they did a great job with the pictures (contrary to all the great shots Davide gets, jewelry is rather tricky to photograph) So we'll look forward to hearing all about the proposal now

Gareth - thanks a lot for coming back and posting the photos. I take it you went with the Fancy Intense, then? (Or they are darn good at making that yellow come out).

You never told us the precise stats of what you were looking at; would you mind letting us know? I'm just curious also as to prices, if you can share.

I'd rather not post price information on a public website, but if you private message me (that's possible on here, right?), I'd be happy to share. I would say, though, that the prices are basically as listed on the fancydiamonds website, and I do feel like I got quite a bargain. My girlfriend loves yellow diamonds, but I really didn't expect to be able to afford one of the quality I wanted, so it came as a pleasant surprise. Now I just hope that I hear that I get the right answer!!!
