After months of research, and tons of advice from many of you, I finally went out and purchased my girl's engagement ring!

My beautiful niece was all tears when I told her she'd be helping me pick it out! It seemed like this particular spot in Los Angeles was destined to be my final stop as the entire transaction went through without a hitch and I walked away feeling incredibly good about my purchase!

Let me know what you think! Thank you all for all your invaluable advice!

I like the setting--would it be too much to ask to get a little more of a top view? :)

Not exactly a bird's eye view, but I hope this gives you a better view...

Something pretty cool...there are (8) total round diamonds on the sides and (2) small Princess cuts and a (3)rd (larger) Princess cut on both sides...we made "us" official on August 23rd (8/23!)...make sense? That's my story and I'm sticking to it! I didn't design the ring, but I had to give the smaller diamonds some type of significance!

We are Officially Engaged!

Truly one of The Happiest Days of Our Lives! Everyone's incredibly happy for us! Truly a dream come true for me!

Here's the pic of my lovely lady's hand (ring included)...she truly loved her ring, by the way!

Interesting finish on the man's (your) band. I like the satin with polished edges (I assume the other one is bevelled and polished too!). Is there a cross etched/engraved on it, or is it a photography artefact?

My band is Tungsten. I had a Holy Cross laser engraved on it. Her band is virtually identical to her engagement ring (initial post picture) minus the main and side Princess cuts, of course.

My daughter is considering a Tungsten ring for her fiancee but was told they can't be resized?

Metallic tungsten by itself could probably be resized, although with difficulty and probably at a cost higher than a new ring. Tungsten carbide, which is what most rings are made of, cannot be resized.

Including the laser engraving, my ring totalled a whopping $50! And I couldn't be HAPPIER! I've always loved the Tungsten look, not to mention its durability! I can't be resized, but the ability to purchase one for $50, or less, I consider it a fair trade off!
