Hi all,

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on this ring for my gf - i've done a lot of homework and I think the stone I've selected is promising. Would love opinions!

looking at this diamond:

to be set in this ring:

I've asked WF to provide a H&A which they are going to try and get me on Monday. As DS suggested, the people at WF are telling me it is a H&A but could not get the true WF designation because of the polish grade of Excellent instead of Ideal - something which will not be a concern, apparently.

any opinions on the diamond, the ring, etc?

thanks all

I'm not 100% familiar with WF, but it looks like they're displaying a H&A scope picture of the diamond--do they not show pics only of the exact diamonds? (that was my understanding) But at any rate, I would say that the diamond is a winner, it's a fair price, it's completely eye clean and face-up white--I see nothing wrong with it. It looks like it only got an Excellent cut grade (which GIA would call Very Good--being different labs, they like to have diff terminology) because they called the Polish Ex (instead of Ideal), which overall knocked it down, but I'd say with anything in those top two categories (AGS--ID/EX, GIA--EX/VG) you're golden. Could you go up a tiny notch? Yes. Do you need to? No. I'd like it if AGS was better about always plotting the stones, but that's really my only complaint.

I like the setting you've chosen, too. I'd say if you're happy with the stone, go for it. :)
