We can also customize virtually any of these styles if you would like. With your budget you should be able to purchase an extraordinary engagement ring but don't get too caught up in brand names, they usually just cost more for the name.

I've seen the 'leading candidate' and it looks like a power e-ring...
IMO, Jan's 5th (pic) ring is more beautiful.
The setting is just perfect, your girl can wear it anywhere, anytime.

Thanks Heart and Stone. And that one is only $2490 in platinum leaving Alex a lot more money for a center stone. He could probably get a 1.16 ct. VS2 H AGS ideal hearts and arrows in the middle with a 100% upgrade option in the future and still have a few hundred left over.

The 5th pic was the first one I sent my girl, I really liked it.

To give you an idea here -- I normally live in Miami. A very flashy city, and brands are about status. It's extremely superficial --- but I love my city. My girl does not get caught up with that lifestyle in Miami, but she is a gorgeous woman that fits right into the flashy scene. On a normal day she's wearing a Marciano Tank top, 3-5 David Yurman Bracelents, with some Dior Sunglass, and Gucci shoes. So a flashy ring is not a bad thing....but really she would happy with anything that is a quality ring. We loved the Tiffany Embrace right nof the bat because it was sleek and elegant but still had plenty of style behind it. The Tacori line was tad too funky. This last one I posted wasn't as funky, but it was strong bold ring and she liked that.

It's also hard to judge them all by pictures when the quality of one shot is better than the other.

Well unless you have one thats very similar and fits the description of what I posted above for a better price

Well we searched a bit more last night, and she liked this one as well:

What she liked most is that the center stone does not sit flush with the setting. She thing the stone looks better accentuated when raised a tad bit.

Now, when I see this in Blue Nile --- what is the quality differnce in craftmanship on this setting vs. a name brand Tacori type setting. Is there any?
