United diamonds took me for $960. I have been looking into this company, 1-2 person fraud, F rating at the BBB, also have cases logged with Federal Trade commission, and found many others with online posts that have been taken advantage of by United Diamonds. I hope you found this in time.

Bruce jacked up the price 30+ % at the last min. before ordering. All they say is gold went up in price, but 30+ in a few days doesn’t make sense. In an effort to save my deposit, I placed an order with their online prices. It was a solitary ring. A week after I placed the order I get a call telling me that they could not fill my order because they didn't have the diamond I wanted. They tried to sell me some others but I wasn't interested in the other diamonds so I asked for a refund. I was charged 15% cancellation fee and the deposit for the custom ring. They ripped me off $1,250. Just a scam, they didn’t have any customer service, just wanted fees.

That sucks, and I'm sorry that you had that experience, but not all online retailers are bad. The bad thing is that the ease of being online means there are probably lots of bad companies out there, but there are plenty of good ones, too. The good thing about this place is there are plenty of folks on here who work for online retailers, or for stores that also sell online (if you get my distinction) so if you let folks know what it was you were/are still looking for, i'm sure someone can help you out. Also, check out the "Diamond Finder" (top of the page)--if I'm not mistaken, all of the companies that it'll refer you to have been vetted by Diamond Review as reputable (ie NOT scammers).

Good luck and I hope you can get some help here and some resolution with that other company!

Just to be sure that we're not slamming someone with a similar name, here's the company I think you're talking about:

It's a pity you didn't check their record first, but for the benefit of others, here's their BBB page.

I agree, this sounds like one to avoid.

If it's the correct company, check carefully the return/refund policy. It's not clear what you bought or if you complied with your part of the refund deal but if they've reniged on the terms, you can still complain to the credit card company for a refund.

Hello Everyone,

The below information is correct. I am working with my credit card company now, through the fraud policy on my card.
