SO as someone commented on one of my posts--not everyone is here JUST to give/get free advice. Some folks actually do some business here. This being a good thing, I figured I'd start a thread and both professionals and advice seekers can share what they do and where they are geographically (if that matters to the business) and try to drum up a little business.

I have worked in diamond and general jewelry retail and I currently make jewelry (more crafty than bench), and am still working towards being a Graduate Gemologist (GIA, hold other certifications) in the Atlanta area. Considering getting back into retail for the holidays, but not sure.

So that's not really a business plug, but figured that I'd get the ball rolling a tiny bit.

Feel free to mention the name of your biz, what you do, where you are, and what services you offer. Since not everyone on here is only EVER looking for jewelry, talk about what you do even if you're not in the jewelry business. People still need clothes, plumbers, places to eat, tires, etc. Whatever line of work, here's the place to chat it up! :)

pffff... (have you been knocked over? that was the feather!)

Well, I work for David at DbL, and I have a day job too, which is not particularly interesting or relevant. I have been collecting minerals since a very early age, encouraged by a grandfather with a degree in chemistry, and I graduated to gems and jewelry when the wallet allowed. I'm currently located in Switzerland, but it matters very little, really, since I spend most of my time either at a computer or on an aircraft...

Hi there!

I'm from New York and I can say that I'm very passionate about diamonds. I love to know about new diamond jewelry designs. So far, I'm proud to say that I was able to help some of my friends and relatives on finding the perfect e-ring!
I have small part in the Coffee industry, I'm hoping that perhaps 2 years from now I'll be able to design an elegant steam punkery diamond engagement ring. B)

I am a Marriage Proposal Planner and Romance Consultant. I help people plan dream proposals and also plan special dates such as Valentine's Day or Anniversary parties.

I also am interested in affiliate partnerships with jewelry stores since we serve the same client.
