I'm sorry to be so desperate:unsure: ...but, I am going back on Friday to view the stone again and see a wax setting. I just was hoping for some more feedback, good or bad. I'm basically freaked out to make this purchase (it's for me). I have terrible buyers remorse, even on things I love and think are beautiful! ugh! :( I know you can;t help with the "crazy me" :wacko: part, but any and all feedback on the stone would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not tech savvy, so I did not cut and paste...please scroll down to topic: Looking to Purchase this Stone.

*Note: I have asked the jeweler to bring in a few more diamonds in the 1.39-1.49 range with better cut rating by GIA and color. I was thinking that maybe if I went down a bit in size (below 1.50), I might be able to get a bit better quality for similar or lower price depending....

THANKS SO MUCH!!! :D

Moon;

You're on the right track.

Bringing in diamonds in the 1.35 -1.49 carat range, GIA graded with cut grades of Very Good to Excellent will afford you the opportunity to review and compare.

Thanks Barry...did you have any thoughts on the diamond I had posted about (regarding specs and price/). It really is a beautiful stone and sparkles a ton. When compared to another stone that was smaller, with a better cute(exc), same color of I but with VS1 clarity. they both looked pretty close. The smaller one was a bit whiter, but not more sparkle. I compared them inside and in the sun? Thx again for your feedback!

Looks good on paper but the litmus test is your reaction to it which is positive.

Compare it to the new diamonds being brought in for you and make your decision.

Also, 1.5 carats is hitting another "Magic Number" where the prices go up because of rarity. You can find a stellar diamond just a hair under that (in the 1.30s-1.40s) for a fair amt less cost-wise, and if it's just a little under that 1.5carat mark, no one would ever be able to tell the difference in size. Good luck, take a deep breath, and enjoy :)
