Thanks everyone. Looks like I've sparked quite a debate!

So the bottom line is, if I don't want to see inclusions from a side or bottom view, I have to "upgrade" to vvs.

Oh, decisions.
That is NOT the conclusion. If you want a stone where nothing is visible from the side, you or someone you trust (like the dealer or your appraiser) needs to LOOK at the stone from the side. There is not sufficient information on the lab report to answer this question.

Hi proposalguy!

So what's the status of your diamond?
Do you still like it, are you planning to embrace its imperfections?

I think your girl will be happy with that princess cut, 0.91 carat.
If she wants an upgrade I think it's her call, just give her the ring.
Time is ticking.

How about the setting?

Keep us posted,

pictures please..

Cheers!

Hi HeartAndStone

Yes, I'm "embracing it's imperfections". No diamond is perfect and in some way that's what makes each one unique and symbolic. So I'm sticking put. I've got an extended return period so we can always go and exchange if she's unhappy, but I think she'll love it. I love it. I was just surprised to discover that inclusions can be visible from the side. Not a problem now I know a bit more (thanks to the experts on here).
