There is little to no chance it will crack. If there were deep running inclusions then maybe, but then it would be below I3 clarity even. Remember, the vast majority of diamonds sold are below the clarity you bought so if what you were told is true, 75% of the diamonds out there would "easily crack" and that would be crazy to say.

That said, if you are worried about the clarity (after all, you want a diamond you love and that will let you sleep at night happy), go for a F color VS1 clarity which will cost the same if not less (assuming you can return this).

Thank you very much for your help!
I see the feather is close to the top, that's why I am worried.I am not a pro.
But a D color is really attractive.

I'm afraid the only way to know for sure is to see the diamond (and to have seen a few thousand others).

The plot doesn't really tell you where the inclusion is; it's an incomplete 2D representation of a 3D object. The feather could be right on the girdle, and then it definitely does not reach the outside of the stone; it may be further down in the pavillion and lay right on the surface. In either case it's unlikely it will come to further harm, but one would need to see it before coming up with an opinion.

On colour: I'm not sure I'd go to VS1 (which to me is overkill - a good SI1 is plenty clear enough), but I'd have to agree that the difference between a D and F, particularly once set, is a very very fine one.

Thank you!
I just asked.it is further down in the pavillion and close to the bottom.
They say it is nearly impossible to have a further harm.
Is that true?

Yes; the majority of pressure in the setting process is applied to the girdle or neighbouring area in the pavillion, and once the stone is set the pavillion is protected by the setting. However, why would you trust me rather than the dealer? I haven't seen the stone, whereas they have. Presumably they are also carrying out the setting, in which case if anything happens it is clearly their responsibility, so what's the incentive in lying to you on this? (There's plenty of other places where they have an incentive to be economical with the truth, but this would strike me as an unlikely one!)
