I did a research, and seems like Diamond 2 cutting falls under ideal in AGS criteria (or am i wrong?) Also, the weird part is i seem to find diamond 1 more fiery and sparkles more though the HCA rating for diamond 1 is only 5.6 while diamond 2 is 2.6... could it be due to clarity that made diamond 2 seem less brilliant? pls kindly advise which is a better stone as i need to confirm my purchase tomorrow, thanks!!!!!
Pls Kindly Advise - Urgent

Buy the one you like the best, especially since you've had the opportunity to compare them side by side. That sounds like door #1.

You are way beyond any usefulness of the HCA. Ignore it at this point.
GIA measures angles in a different way from AGSL in that they both round and average things so the numbers reported on a GIA report aren’t really all that useful in deciding if AGS would call it Ideal in the lab. That said, I have no problem with the proportions on either one but yes, #2 fits the more classic definitions. These are small things and all of this is trumped by your stated preference of #1 over #2. I again advise to buy the one that ‘sings’ to you since one of them did and one didn’t.

Entirely agree with Neil. Go with the one you like best with your eyes - just make sure that both diamonds are seen in comparable conditions (recently cleaned, same lighting and same background), and ideally look at them in different light environments (natural light, spotlights, diffused artificial light).
Clarity won't affect sparkle or fire for VS clarity grades.
