Does anyone have an opinion on a prince cut diamond? I am looking to buy an engagement ring and noticed this diamond. Now the jewelry store that has it is going out of business in the next 6 months so they are offering some price reductions. Just seeing what people think about the diamond. Thanks!

Bear in mind that going for a non-standard cut, a. your choice of stones will be restricted - all the more so if the store is going out of business; b. resale or exchange in the future will be more difficult - all the more so because the original seller has closed.

In general, "patented" cuts like the Prince (or any other custom cut) have their own personality and will look quite different from the standard cuts. If you like the look, by any means go for it, but don't buy something you don't love just because it seems a bargain.
