I am looking at the following stone:
Shape: Round Brilliant
Measurements: 7.40-7.45 X 4.49mm
Weight: 1.50 carats
Proportions
Depth: 60.5%
Table: 56%
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted
Cutlet: None
Finish
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Very Good
Clarity: VS1
Color: E
Fluorescence: None
The dealer wants to sell me this particular stone for $15,500. This seems a bit high to me.
What do you think?
Thanks
Is this a good deal?

It looks like a fairly good deal.
There are a few that run a little less. You can e-mail me for details if you like.

You are paying a premium price for that particular stone. We have 10+ diamonds in this range that are considerably less. You can check out our inventory at http://www.venicediamonds.com/onlinestore/...?id=2&cat=Round
Each diamond is GIA certified and our markup is less than 12% on each stone.
Let me know if I can help.

You are doing an injustice to this customer. The price is pretty good and marked up less than you advertised.
This is a stone with very nice proportions and a very good polish and symmetry.
The cut grade makes a tremendous difference in the price. Let's not mislead the consumers.

Jan,
I agree that this is a great cut, but $10,333/carat is more on the high side than the low. Just my opinion. It's still a great stone.

Hi Trevor,
That is because it has ideal proportions, (probably) would need to see the sarin data first and also a very good polish and symmetry.
