I want to sell a diamond engagement ring I purchased in 2/97. The ring has the following characteristics:
1.05 Carrot, brilliant round diamond.
H color and VS1 clarity.
The ring has four smaller diamonds on each side of the main diamond. These diamonds total .60 carrots and are flawless in color. The diamonds are set in 14K gold band.
What can I expect to sell the ring for?

You need to take this ring to a qualified appraiser and get an appraisal on it. Various things can change the value of the ring, such as wear and tear and the cutting grade of the diamond. After you have an appraisal it should be much easier to sell.

Thank you for your response. The ring was appraised at $6,500.00 when it was purchased. Should I have it appraised again before I sell it?

If it hasn't been appraised in the last year, you should definitely have it re appraised for the current value. Diamonds have price increases every year.
