I READ THIS BOOK AND CARRIED IT AROUND
WITH ME FOR MONTHS. I THOUGHT THAT IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. IT MADE IT HARD TO FIND A DIAMOND THAT CONFORMS TO HIS
SPECS. MOST JEWELERS HAD NO CLUE AS TO CUT ANGLES AND PERCENTAGES. WHEN I FOLLOWED HIS SUGESTION TO CALL HIS MANAGER I FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS SELLING DIAMONDS. THIS PUT ME OFF A LITTLE.
I ALSO FOUND HIS PRICES TO BE QUITE HIGH. WHAT DID YOU THINK?

Yes, his prices did seem high, but I though the book was good.

I have heard the same complaint about Cuellar from professionals in the business. Admittedly it is tacky to for Cueller to try to sell diamonds via his book and it tarnishes the legitimacy a little bit. However, he does have more than enough credentials to be an expert in the field. I trust the book more than most web sites out there where the owner of the site has a hidden agenda to sell a product or dupe you by giving misinformation.
I wouldn't do business with anyone who doesn't know about cut angles or percentages because it shows a basic lack of understanding that could hurt you with a low quality stone.

You should go to diamondtalk.com, do a search for him and find out the real scoop on this character.

I don't know. I hear this guy is a scam artist with a criminal record - but I can't confirm that (but then again, it's not slander if it is true).
I also hear his theory on 61% total depth has been discredited and proven wrong many times over.
He strike me as sleaze. I say stay away.
Knowing cut angles is great, I agree, but go to his website and ask him to rate/appraise your diamond. I bet he states it is warped.
