hi, will diamonds get damaged if they're lightly hit on the glass surface?

Diamonds can chip from what seems like a remarkably tiny impacts but it usually requires a strike against a fairly hard surface like porcelain or granite. Breakage risk for most diamond jewelry is really quite low and most people can enjoy a lifetime of wear without a single nick while the unfortunate few can break a stone in the first week. This is what the insurance is for. Get an appraisal, get an insurance policy and then live your life knowing that at this least this little portion of worry is someone else’s problem.
