I have been searching for a particular Tacori ring setting #2573PR7 and found what looks like to be the same one on [url="http://www.google.com/url?sa=L&ai=BWvwywHGqRvPkF6HiebyYpcEOxsjTKeq6g6sC6uvm2wPwogQIABABGAEgtlQ4AFDs-8WU-v____8BYMmGhYmIpIQQqgEfb3JnLm1vemlsbGE6ZW4tVVM6b2ZmaWNpYWwrMkdNTMgBAcgChqeFAdkD2DH9Uzo73qE&q=http://www.rkdms.com/redirect%3Fc%3D15314115%26en%3D1%26cl%3D36%26u%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fshop.baileybanksandbiddle.com%252Fhome%252Findex.jsp%253Fcm_cat%253Dgoo%2526cm_ven%253Dpaidsrch%2526cm_pla%253Dunspec%2526cm_ite%253Dunspec&usg=AFQjCNEW2e-nM7rDn7eyOYODoI3gjByqeQ"]Bailey Banks & Biddle[/url] website. On both website it say the setting is made for a princess-cut center stone but is also available for a round stone. Does this mean that I would have to special order the ring if I wanted to set it with a round center stone? Or could a jeweler do the setting? Any Suggestions?

Give us a link to the particular setting you like. A search for that part number produces nothing and I don't want to dig through the site. The prong engineering for princess cuts are different than rounds and some are easy to convert while others aren't. Most Tacori designs will require a different mounting entirely. We should be able to tell by looking at a picture of your setting.

Niel,

Thanks.. Here are the links. The first link is what I'm looking for; I found this one at Solomon Brothers. The second one is the same ring at Bailey Banks and Biddle. The last link is from Tacori; style no. 2573PR7.

Also is there a range that jewlers charge for setting a diamond or do Tacori rings have be set by Tacori?

Thanks,

Jonathan

As a Tacori owner, let me first start by saying; save yourself and run... run as quickly as you can from Tacori. I hope to warn everyone of my experience with Tacori so that other people will hopefully not have to go through what has been an absolute nightmare for me.
First, Tacori fails to have what they call their "authorized dealers" explain to you that noone can touch your Tacori ring except for Tacori. If the ring is touched by another jeweler, your Tacori ring will no longer be considered an authentic Tacori ring. Futhermore, it will not be warrantied for the future.
Second, if you are looking to purchase a Tacori piece, please know that you absolutely can not purchase it at anything less than full price. If you come across a discount, even from an authorized dealer, your ring will not be warrantied for the future as well. So basically, Tacori will do anything and everything in their power to undermine their Tacori Promise and not stand beside their product.
Their customer service is far from exsistant, especially since they provide no phone number and refuse to speak to customers personally by phone. You must communicate through an "authorized dealer" who will only act as a messenger by contacting Tacori and relaying your issue verbally. Persoanlly, I think this is just the easy way out to not be true to your product.
We spent on my Tacori ring what some people spend on a car, which might I add comes with a warranty in writing, and they have treated us like we purchased a ring out of a gumball machine.
It saddens me to say this about Tacori Diamonds as it has been my dream since I was a little girl to wear a Tacori ring, but if I could change anything, I would have walked next door to Tiffany's and received the customer service, promise and guarantee, and quality that anyone deserves for something so sentimental.
I will be posting more reviews on Tacori throughout different website explaining in more detail my experience, but I wanted to address this specific concern first. Do not let another jeweler touch your ring.
I hope that this review finds you well and that your experiences will be better than my own.

Lindsey

I have that particular one in stock for a round. What size round were you thinking of putting in it?

Hi linzereen!

Welcome :)

That's one sad diamond story but thank you for sharing your experience.
I'm also stunned by the whole concept., from no other jeweler can touch a Tacori Setting, to discounts that will in someway 'void' the warranty. :)

If Jan is going to be doing the standing behind any warranty, you couldn't do much better than them.. If you are relying on Tacori to stand behind the warranty, run.. As far as Tacori goes we "used" to be an AD and dropped them a few years back.. Too much drama trying to work with them.. Too many rings coming back with issues.. It wasn't us risking our reputation to sell their product.. Then they went QVC and made their brand worthless in my opinion..

Not to change the subject but, WELCOME BACK STEVE. We haven’t seen you around here in a while. I see you’ve got a new URL. Are you still with the same store?

As Steve mentioned above, manufacture warranties are as good as the dealer that you purchase the product from. I know that we do alot for our clients and go above and beyond what the manufacturers do.

No matter what designer or ring you choose, there will always be some people that aren't happy. That's just the nature of people.
