Hi,

Anyone have any information on Sun Jewelry? They appear to be an online store that also has 2 showrooms - one in LA, CA and one in Hershey, PA. Just curious if anyone has an opinion about them.

Yes I ordered a bridal set from them a couple of months ago. The results were mixed. For the engagement diamond, the cut and carat weight were correct. The color was actually better than I specified. The clarity, however, was a different story. It appraised several grades below what I specified, the appraiser said there is no way the flaws could have been missed. I had smaller diamonds in the engagement and wedding bands, about 1/2 of them appraised at the grade/color I ordered, the rest below. When I contacted Sun they wanted me to return the rings at my expense, but their attitude that appraisals were subjective made me believe it would be a waste of time. The ring appraised for about 50% more than I paid. Overall I guess it was a good deal, but I would not trust their grading.
