Perhaps you can resolve your dilemma in a much less intellectual way. Did you like one stone more than the other? Are they fairly priced and within your budget? If so, go for the one you like!

Thanks a lot for your help. Your expertise and prompt responses are highly appreciated.
I decided I want to go with a H&A stone. (Even though the H&A will not be visible on the outside, I find it fascinating and of sentimental value that the stone has such beautiful optical symmetry on the inside).

I am also going to go for a little bigger stone (0.7c) instead of the 0.5. The bigger one has more inclusions, but I know where the inclusions are and they don't bother me since they are not visible to the naked eye. The bigger stone is also H&A - which looks perfect under the scope.

Thanks
Martin

Very good discussion.
Just wanted to add that IGI and European lab HRD do certify that the diamond is Hearts and Arrows. And from what I've seen, open hearts like seen in the images above don't receive the Hearts and Arrows certification by these labs.
Another interesting fact I've come across is that the EightStar, the precursor of H&A, most times will receive Very Good or even Good grade from GIA. Just to clarify that GIA isn't at all into the H&A idea.
My two cents..
