The seller is a private jeweler that sells estate jewelry on eBay. I asked him if he had an appraisal and he said he could get one if I wanted one. (which I do) He also said he would guarantee the color and clarity (However, he didn't indicate if the clarity was SI1 or SI2, just that there were no inclusions visible to the naked eye, only with a 10X scope.) He also said that I could return the ring for a full refund of the purchase price if I was not happy with it.(I'd like to get this in writing before sending him payment) Ultimately, I was the high bidder on the ring at $6200 and am wondering if this is a reasonable price for such a vintage ring.

The ring has 10 smaller diamonds (5 on each side) that have a total carat weight of .25-.30 carats, G color, VS1 clarity. Again, the pictures are located at http://www.geocities...gh/diamond.html

Any help or suggestions would be VERY VERY appreciated. Rockdoc, do you think I could have them send this to you for an appraisal??

thanks in advance everyone,

Mark
