Is AGS certification considered widely respected and acceptable by the industry? What are the advantages and disadvantages of AGS certification vs. GIA? thanks. Matt

Hi Matt,
Most of the superideal cut diamonds and hearts and arrows do have the AGS lab report. It does give all the measurements. Some are also with GIA lab report, but look for one with a sarin analysis and excellent polish and symmetry as well, that way you will have all the numbers. After you have that information, we can also offer you something that none of the other websites can at the moment. We have a brilliancescope also which measures the brilliance, dispersion and scintillation in the diamond. This will tell you whether or not her diamond will get noticed across the room in various types of lighting, not just under jewelry lights. Happy shopping.
