How do I sell a large, scratched yellow diamond?

I wish to sell a scratched, yellow diamond approx 2 carats in old fashioned 1920 setting. Am I better off contacting jewelers or advertising in newspapers or on e-bay?

I would start by getting an appraisal and figuring out what you have. Ask your appraiser about what potential markets may be available to you.
