I have a diamond with the following GIA demensions: 8.30-8.39x5.17 table 57% and depth 62%. Is it cosidered a "ideal" or "very good" or "good" etc. cut?

There's not enough information to answer your question.

Most people in the trade use the AGS definitons for the term ideal.

Their classic definition of 'ideal' requires table size, average crown angle, girdle minimum and maximum, average pavilion depth, culet, polish and symmetry.

The current definitions (added in 2005) require all of the above plus star length, and lower girdle percentage.
