The Gemprint for the diamond I purchased is coming in the mail. Gemprint advertises it as the "DNA of Diamonds". Are they really worth it? any comments on them? I never heard of it before.

It results in a discount of up to 10% from many of the major insurance companies if you have one. Depending on the value of your stone and your choice of insurance companies, this savings can offset the cost of a Gemprint on the very first premium payment. For consumers, this savings is 90%+ of the reason they choose to get one.

Gemprint which takes a picture of the internal diamond pattern can't be erased the way a laser inscription can.
And the 10% Insurance discount ain't bad either
The cost of the Gemprint ranges between $35.00-50.00 dollars, depending on the vendor.

I was considering getting insurace. I was thinking of jewelersmutual.com unless someone has another suggestion? It's a 1 ct, appraised at 6900. I think their price was around 110 a year.

Try Chubb, they have a very good replacement policy.
