Why is there not a detailed description of a cushion cut diamond on your website? This is the diamond that I am interested in and I see no information to research.

There are no cut standards for cushion cuts and they tend to vary widely in appearance. There are a few different facet patterns and widely varied proportions. Some are more square, others are more elongated, some are more round, others have flatter edges. This makes it difficult to describe a 'perfect' cushion cut.

If you have a certain cushion 'style' in mind, a vendor should be able to assist you in finding what you are looking for.

I agree with Megan.
Classifying cushions os impossible- simply becasue so many different styles of cushion look good.

Here's a few examples

Megan/David, thanks for the input on this topic. I too have noticed we have a gap in coverage regarding cushion cut.

So.... let's make this thread drip with info on cushion cuts and afterwards I'll memorialize it by moving it to the FAQ section!
