I am shopping for an engagement ring and recently stoped in a Movado boutique where the salesman made a point of showing me diamond rings with more than 58 facets, I believe they were 104. Is there any real benefit to having more facets?

In general, only larger stones benefit from more facents.. They have larger facets so breaking them down further can on some occasions give them more life.. Smaller stones may suffer from an almost cloudy look if they have too many facets..
